I get up early next morning, and go to the Hong Hua lake by bus. There is a 18-kilometer path around the lake. For most of tourists who came here, the best thing to do is riding a bicycle and enjoying the amazing scenery along the way. Actually, this is probably the only thing you can do here.
Continue walking around the lake for a while, I arrived at a main scenic spot where they build a lot of statues or buildings in honor of a great poet in Chinese history: Su Dongpo. He was once demoted here, and he is actually the first famous people to call this lake the West Lake.
The hotel I choose to stay is West Lake Grand Hotel, which is right opposite the main gate of the West Lake.Actually, I have searched the web and got a few information about this hotel before leaving Shenzhen. It seems the hotel has a long history, and the property or the furniture in the room are pretty old. But its price is very good. This is not a problem for me. All I want is a big window, so that I can enjoy the view of West Lake, when I'm in the hotel room.
Continue walking for a while, I saw another bridge near to which there is a small community park. There are more people here. Most of them are natives who are working out for their bodies or just having their leisure time.
National Day holidays came. As a happy bachelor, I decided to take a trip somewhere near to Shenzhen. I remember that one of my friends once mentioned a beautiful lake in Huizhou, and he even said this lake is as beautiful as the most famous lake in China: Hangzhou West Lake.
